torn by uncertainties,
facing crucial situations
or overwhelmed by blessings,
listen for God in the midst of it all?

Find Out
In Listening to the Sound of His Voice from Childhood to Grandparenthood, author Nan McKenzie Kosowan shares 78 true stories of everyday people at every life stage. Since 1959, Nan has personally experienced and gathered these stories as she and husband Bill served on lay prayer and ministry teams under pastoral oversight in three Canadian churches. Her hope is that her readers may be encouraged, as she has been, in sharing adventures with God, to bless others with a touch of His loving presence.

How Do We Hear From God?
NanPhoto_name.jpg (22848 bytes)How can His communications be described to someone who has never experienced hearing from God? If we ask, He may stir a thought in our heart, mind or spirit. He may touch us with a memory from the past, an observation in the present or an insight into the future. He may use a word spoken by someone, even someone unaware of the difficult situation we may be facing. He can make a word in the Bible grow in our hearts to direct, affirm, caution, strengthen, comfort or empower us just when needed.

How Do We Know It's From God?
The unchanging truth of His Word, the Bible, applies to lives in every century, including this one. He usually tailors what He says to ways we each express ourselves. Since the author sometimes thinks in cartoons, God may bring a cartoon across the screen of the author’s mind to impress a truth she needs to recognize. (See the “cartoon story” in the last chapter.)
